ANIME DANCE MUSIC

Definition:
Any type of music that is loosely based around the culture & genre of Anime.

Anime Dance Music was started as a movement by The Contro1freak, an Anisong & EDM DJ of Caribbean descent based in New York City. The brand was introduced on October 8, 2015, with the launch of the event series “Anime Dance Music New York City” & the release of the first volume of the Strictly ADM series - a mixtape containing some of the best music found in the Japanese & Anime scene.

Since then, Anime Dance Music has featured at multiple conventions & events themed around Anime, Nerd, Japanese & Black culture. Anime Dance Music has also hosted multiple art galleries & music events, all to highlight the otaku lifestyle in NYC.

With multiple events that happen across the year & across the nation, Anime Dance Music has played a massive part into transforming New York City from an Anime Desert into one of the largest thriving otaku hubs in the world. Anime Dance Music’s goal is to highlight the best music that Anime & Nerd culture has to offer as well as introducing new & different styles of music to the community.
